What We Do
The Lincoln Council for International Visitors (LCIV) is an all-volunteer organization that connects the local communities with international visitors selected by the U.S. State Department in Nebraska through home visits, governance, education and cultural visits and many more. In return, the local community gets to learn about world affairs and other cultures from around the world. Learn more and get involved.
-
We host and plan social activities for the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) participants, who are distinguished professionals and diplomats from different countries. LCIV coordinates people-to-people exchange programs with themes related to U.S. foreign policy topics, from international trade and immigration to journalism and civic engagement.

By becoming a member of LCIV, you can participate in our programs, from hosting dinners, showcasing your organization, going to Lincoln’s cultural and social events and many more, all while learning about global diplomacy through our visitors.

Brightest Links * Lincoln
We are proud of the recognition we have received in the nearly 60 years we have welcomed international leaders to Lincoln. One visitor commented that Lincoln is one of the “brightest links” in the chain of community groups that care for international visitors across the U.S.
