What We Do

What We Do

Lincoln Council for International Visitors works to promote global understanding through citizen diplomacy through the U.S. State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP).

How we bring the world closer:

Connects local community members through the LCIV’s Dinner Diplomat program, where family members host a dinner for international visitors to experience Midwest hospitality.

Engages local and state business and government leaders with the visitors to share common global goals and the impacts of international partnerships.

Creates opportunities for local community members to interact with IVLP visitors through cultural experience, from country line dancing and concerts to museum and State Capitol tours.

Host an annual dinner where LCIV connects all communities across the state to learn how leading globally matters locally.

You can participate in many ways—whether you’re welcoming IVLP visitors or sharing your passions—you can help us bring the world closer together. Learn how to become an LCIV member.
